MEETING | Minutes
Attendance: Andrew Glickson, Sheldon Miller, Louis Schulman
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M.
Mr. Schulman provided an update regarding pulse point lawsuit being brought by Waters Construction.
Mr. Schulman reviewed several personnel matters that have gone or are going before the State Labor Board.
The Commissioners awarded a contract to Business Electronics Incorporated (BEI) for the purchase and installation of a new telephone system for the District. BEI was the lowest responsive bidder. All bids came in well below the expected price.
Mr. Schulman explained to the Commissioners why the District did not submit a request for a Livable Cities grant.
Mr. Schulman provided an update regarding continuing and pending Workers Compensation claims.
Mr. Schulman said the District will be offering a Maintenance Foreman position to Mr. Carol Martin, currently an employee of CT Transit in Stamford.
The Commissioners reviewed the proposed operating grant to the District from the City of Norwalk. The District has requested the City reconsider a 3% increases for the coming fiscal year.
Mr. Schulman said the District is out to bid on 36 bike racks for the Town of Greenwich. No local funds are being used for the purchase.
