The Norwalk Transit District welcomes applications for driving positions year round. When drivers are needed, either for our fixed route services or our shuttle and door-to-door services, we schedule a test and invite all those who have submitted an application since the last test. After training, most drivers start as part-time employees and are offered full time jobs as they become available.

The Transit District welcomes applications for mechanics year round as well. There are five levels of maintenance personnel so there is ample room for advancement in our state of the art facility.

Director of Maintenance and Facilities

The Director of Maintenance and Facilities is responsible for the overall management of Norwalk Transit District’s (NTD’s) Maintenance and Facilities Department.  Develops policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives to ensure safe, cost effective and efficient management of NTD’s revenue and non-revenue fleet and facilities and related equipment.

Manager of Planning & Marketing

The Manager of Planning and Marketing is responsible for all aspects of fixed-route and paratransit planning and marketing initiatives of the Norwalk Transit District.  It is additionally responsible for District’s response to all customer service inquiries for all modes. The position also serves as a member of NTD’s executive management team.
